More Info: Records date the Villa Sant'Angelo estate back to the 15th century at least, and was owned by a noble family until the last family member died without leaving an heir. The estate ended up in a state of repair and it wasn't until 2006, when a British family purchased the property, that the estate was renovated and the vineyards once again cultivated to produce wines. Darren Jenkins, originally from Newport, proudly displays the red dragon on the label alongside the Estate's original symbols.

Organically grown and hand-picked, Montepulciano and Trebbiano grapes grow on the estate as well as Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

For the Trebbiano, the hand-picked grapes undergo a brief maceration encouraging colour and flavour extraction from the skins. It is then left for around 10 hours at a temperature of around 15 degrees.

After the soft press, the must is cooled and preserved in stainless steel tanks for around four months. The wine is then stored for a further 4 months at twelve degrees to retain flavour and freshness before bottling.
