More Info: Grown within meters of one of our favourite grape varieties, Picpoul, the closely related Terret Blanc is causing quite the storm! One of the Languedoc’s oldest varieties, Terret has long been prized for its ability to hold onto its acidity in the heat of a Mediterranean summer. Historically, it has been a variety used as a blending component to provide tension and to create a wine that is more sculpted and fluid rather than one that looks (and tastes) a little flabby. Grown in eyeline of the sea, our Terret has a saline edge which adds further interest to its clean citrus profile. These characteristics ensure that it acts as the perfect foil to both the mussels and oysters that are grown below the vineyards in the Etang de Thau, the saltwater lagoon that stretches from Marseillan in the east to Sète in the west. This lagoon provides the majority of the shellfish for the locals and tourists, in this sunny corner of France’s deep south, but even if the sun is not shining on you as you open a bottle of Tête-à-Tête; you are sure to feel its presence in this elegant accompaniment to the summer.
