Tasting Notes: A juicy and medium-bodied wine with lots of character. Vibrant notes of strawberry, cherry and red liquorice lead to delicious notes of cocoa and tobacco. An excellent value wine for the price!

Region: Jumilla, Spain

Varieties: 75% Monastrell, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah & 5% Petit Verdot
ABV: 14%
Closure: Cork

Pairing: Sausage and mash, tomato-rich pastas or cured cheeses.

More Info: The grapes are grown at an altitude of between 500 and 700 meters above sea level on rocky, limestone soil. The altitude helps slow the ripening process so that the grapes maintain their acidity alongside the ripe fruit flavours that are typical of Jumilla's hot climate.

Maceration and fermentation in concrete tanks for 20 days at a constant temperature not exceeding 25ºC. Malolactic fermentation follows and then 3 months in French oak barrels.
