More Info: Lodi is a region that makes up part of the central valley in California. The climate is warm, making it the perfect place to grow red grape varieties, particularly Zinfandel (Primitivo in Italy). They tend to produce rich, fruity wines that are also quite smoky.

The Zinfandel grapes come from old vines that were planted by the winemakers ancestors in the 1900s. The current winemakers are the fifth generation of grape growers, although the family originally settled in the region and grew watermelons. The focus now is on producing top-quality red wines.
